Line numbers

Line Number Option  से हम document में लिखे  Paragraph की हर एक line  पर   Number लगा  सकते हैं

1) Continuous :  Paragraph की हर line में Numberring add  करने के  लिए  Continuous use किया जाता है

2) Restart Each Section :-इस option को use करने से पहले किसी Paragraph पर section  break लगाना पड़ेगा l  जहाँ -जहाँ पर Section break  लगाया है वहाँ से number restart  हो जाता है

3) Restart Each Page :- इसमें हर Page पर  Numbering 1से ही Start होता है

4) Suppress for Current Paragraph :-  इस option  के द्वारा Selected Paragraph पर 

numbering हट जाती है और बाक़ी Paragraph पर  Line  Number रहती है

5) Line Numbering Options :-  Layout> Line Number

 ✅     Add line numbering

-Start at  1  यहाँ पर  Numberring कहाँ से शुरू करनी है जैसे- 1,2,3,4 ect.

- From text   Auto  इस Option से Text की  Line Number की दूरी कितनी है जैसे- Auto ,0.2" , 0.3"

- Count by  1 इसमें कितना अंतर चाहिए l जैसे- 1,2,3 ect.

Layout Menu – Line Numbers

The Line Number option allows you to add line numbers to each line of a paragraph in your document.

1) Continuous

• Adds continuous line numbering throughout the entire document, paragraph by paragraph.

2) Restart Each Page

• Line numbering will restart from 1 on each new page.

3) Restart Each Section

• This option requires you to insert a section break before using it.

• Line numbers will restart from 1 at the beginning of each section.

4) Suppress for Current Paragraph

• Removes line numbering only from the selected paragraph, while keeping it for the rest of the document.

5) Line Numbering Options

Go to:
Layout > Line Numbers > Line Numbering Options

• ✅ Add line numbering – Enables line numbers in the document.

• Start at – Set the starting number for line numbering (e.g., 1, 2, 3…).

• From text – Set the distance between the text and the line numbers, e.g., Auto, 0.2", 0.3".

• Count by – Set the interval between line numbers, e.g., count by 1 (1, 2, 3), or by 2 (2, 4, 6), etc.
