Interest Calculation (Part 2)
इसमें हम दो चीजों पर Interest Calculate कर सकते हैं।
1. Loan लेने पर।
2. Purchase के Payment समय पर नहीं करने पर।

Maintain A/c Only :Yes
Activate Interest Calculation :Yes
Step 2
Ledger Creation
GOT > Create > Ledger
1. SBI Loan A/c
Under : Loan Liability
Activate Interest Calculation :Yes
Rate :10%
Calendar Year : On Balance
2. SBI Bank A/c
Under: Bank Accounts
3. SC A/c
Under : Mr.SC A/c
Activate Interest Calculation : Yes
Rate : 10%
Calendar Year : All Balance
4. Purchase A/c
Under: Purchase Account
5. Interest Payable A/c
Under : Indirect Expenses
Step 3
GOT > Alter>Voucher Type> Credit Note> ^End
Name Of Class> Interest Payable
Use Class For Interest Accounting : Yes
^A (Save)
Step 4
Loan लेने की Entry
GOT > Voucher > F6 (Receipt)
Cr. SBI Loan A/c 1,00,000.00
Dr. SBI Bank A/c 1,00,000.00

Interest Calculation
GOT > Display >Account Book >Ledger >Loan >^H(Change View)
Interest Calculation :
F2> From: 1 April To 1 May
जितना भी Interest होगा यहां Show करेगा।

F2 (Date Change) : 1 May
Cr. SBI Loan A/c 821.92
Dr. Interest Payable A/c 821.92
Note : Interest Amt 821.92 Automatic आएगा। Credit Note की Entry करने से यह Books में Add
हो जाता है।

GOT > Display >Account Book >Ledger > SBI Loan > ^H(Change View)
Interest Calculation : F2> From:1 April To 1 May
यहां पर Interest Show नहीं करेगा।
Step 8
Purchase Payment Interest
GOT > Voucher > F9 (Purchase)
F2 Date : 1 April
Party A/c Name : Mr.SC A/c
Purchase A/c 10,000/-
^A(Save)
## Interest Calculation
GOT > Display >Account Book >Ledger > Mr.SC A/c > ^H(Change View)
Interest Calculation : F2> From: 1 April To :1 May
यहां पर 30 Days का Interest 82.19 बताएगा।
अब Credit Note की Entry से Book में Add हो जाएगा ।
GOT > Vouchers > Alt +F6 (Credit Note)> F2 : 1 May

Dr. Interest Payable A/c 82.19

Set:

Activate Interest Calculation: Yes
Go to:
Gateway of Tally (GOT) → Create → Ledger
Under: Loan Liability
Activate Interest Calculation: Yes
Rate: 10%
Calculation Method: On Balance
Style: Calendar Year
Under: Bank Accounts
Under: Sundry Creditors (Mr. SC A/c)
Activate Interest Calculation: Yes
Rate: 10%
Calculation Method: All Balances
Style: Calendar Year
Under: Purchase Accounts Indirect Expenses
Go to:
GOT → Alter → Voucher Type → Credit Note → Press Ctrl + End
Name of Class: Interest Payable
Use Class for Interest Accounting: Yes
Press Ctrl + A to Save
Go to:
GOT → Voucher → F6 (Receipt)
Credit: SBI Loan A/c – ₹1,00,000
Debit: SBI Bank A/c – ₹1,00,000
Go to:
GOT → Display → Account Books → Ledger → SBI Loan A/c → Press F12 (Change View)
Go to: Interest Calculation
Press F2 to set Period: From 1st April to 1st May
It will display the Interest amount (e.g., ₹821.92)
Go to:
GOT → Voucher → Alt + F6 (Credit Note)
Date: 1st May
Class: Interest Payable
Credit: SBI Loan A/c – ₹821.92
Debit: Interest Payable A/c – ₹821.92
Note: The interest amount ₹821.92 will come automatically.
Once the entry is saved, it gets added to the books.
Go to:
GOT → Display → Account Book → Ledger → SBI Loan A/c → F12 (Change View)
Period: From 1st April to 1st May
Now, interest will not be shown again – because it’s already accounted for.
Go to:
GOT → Voucher → F9 (Purchase)
Date: 1st April
Party A/c: Mr. SC A/c
Purchase A/c: ₹10,000
Press Ctrl + A to Save
Go to:
GOT → Display → Account Books → Ledger → Mr. SC A/c → F12 (Change View)
Set period: 1st April to 1st May
It will show 30 days interest = ₹82.19
Go to:
GOT → Vouchers → Alt + F6 (Credit Note)
Date: 1st May
Credit: Mr. SC A/c – ₹82.19
Debit: Interest Payable A/c – ₹82.19
Go to:
GOT → Display → Account Books → Ledger → Mr. SC A/c → F12 (Change View)
Set period: 1st April to 1st May
Now, the interest will not be shown again, as it has already been recorded.
