Adding a skull blending effect to portraits in Photoshop is a popular technique for creating spooky, horror-themed visuals—perfect for Halloween posters, movie edits, or artistic photo manipulation.

Step 1: Open Photoshop & Load Your Images

Open photoshop

Take photo “skull A and skull B “

·         Create duplicate image

·         Close original image

     Step 2: Merge Skull onto Main Image

·         Drag skull image to main image by using move tool (v)

·         Decrease opacity of skull image > Adjust size according to the man’s image

  • Step 3: Finalize Skull Position

·         Increase opacity (100%) [short command to increase and decrease opacity is no 1- 0 ]

Step 4: Layer Adjustment

·         Ctrl +open bracket ( to shift layer )

Step 5: Create Face Cutout Using Pen Tool

·         Click on main layer (man; photo) > select pen tool > make selection > delete

Step 6: Blend the Skull Smoothly

Ctrl + N (new layer)

·         Select new layer > Ctrl + Main layer > Alt + backspace > ctrl + D ( deselect)

·         Filter > blur > Gaussian blur > adjust accordingly

Step 7: Add Realism to the Eye

·         Main layer > elliptical selection >select eye > right click > feather (2)

·         Image > adjustment > variation > red > ok

Step 8: Add Lighting Effects

·         Filter > render > lens flare > adjust accordingly

·         The effect will be created

You’ve now created a professional Skull Blend Effect in Photoshop! The result is a hauntingly realistic combination of a human portrait and a skull, enhanced with lighting, color, and blur effects.
