Step 1: Open Your Image

  • Go to File > Open or Browse in Bridge

  • Select your image file, for example, "Tree Practice"

  • Click Open

   

Step 2: Duplicate the Image

  • Navigate to Image > Duplicate
    This ensures you're working on a copy and not the original image.

     

    Step 3: Access Channels

  • Go to Window (Property Bar) > Channels
  • Drag Image the Blue Channel to the New Channel icon
    (This will create a copy named ‘Blue Copy’)

 

Step 4: Adjust Levels

  • Press Ctrl + L
    Move the first (black) slider to the right to darken the image.

 

Step 5: Create a Selection

  • While in Channels, press Ctrl + Click on the photo Blue Copy
    This selects the white areas, which represent highlights.

 

Step 6: Create a New Layer & Fill Selection

  • Go to Layer > New Layer

  • Press Ctrl + Backspace to fill the selected area with white (assuming background color is white)

 

Step 7: Apply Radial Blur

  • Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the layer

  • Go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur

    • Set Amount: 80–90

    • Blur Method: Zoom

    • Quality: Best

    • Blur Center: Drag center slightly upwards

  • Click OK

 

Step 8: Add Outer Glow

  • Go to Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow

  • Adjust glow settings for a soft light effect

  • Click OK

 

 

Step 9: Change Blending Mode

  • LLayer > Set Blending Mode >Soft Light

 

 Step 10: Duplicate and Transform

  •           Ctrl+ J (Duplicate) > Ctrl + T Drag Center A Little Upwords > Alt+Shift+Left Click And To Increase The Size Slightly Beyond Photo's Edges 

         

Step 11: Adjust First Layer’s Transform

  •       Click On First New Layer ( Layer 2 ) > Ctrl+T > Left Click The Center Point For Top And Drag It To The End Of Tree  

 

       Step 12: Set Final Blending Mode

  •      Layer > Blending Mode > Over Lay

 

You now have a stunning, warm sunlight through tree

leaves effect that brings depth, realism, and artistic glow to your photograph.
